Celebrating Progress in the Palisades

Today, I really want to celebrate the progress we’re seeing in the Palisades. While there are days when it feels like things aren’t moving as quickly as we’d like for our clients, friends, and family, it’s important to pause and acknowledge our wins.

In early 2025, the first Palisades rebuilding permits were issued, just 3–4 projects. By July, that number surged to nearly 300 approved plans, showing real momentum and community resilience. Today, almost all debris from the fires has been cleared, paving the way for hundreds of new homes. According to the Mayor’s office, roughly 230 homes are under construction across Pacific Palisades, with 620 permits approved out of 1,564 rebuilding applications citywide. Permits are being approved nearly three times faster than typical single-family projects before the fires — a major step forward for the community.
